Why is there no scent at all?
Deliberately. Essential oils are one of the most common triggers for reactive and eczema-prone skin, so this bar leaves them out entirely along with synthetic fragrance. What you smell is only the tallow, goat milk and oat.
Is it gentle enough for eczema-prone skin?
That is what it was made for. There are no essential oils, no synthetic fragrance, no sulfates and no harsh additives, and the colloidal oat and goat milk are there to calm rather than strip.
How is it different from the Tallow Facial Bar?
The facial bar is a clarifying wash built around activated charcoal and essential oils. This one is the opposite end of the range: no essential oils at all, formulated to soothe rather than purify, and intended for the body.
Can I use it on my face?
You can. It is formulated as a body cleanser, but because it is free of essential oils it is the gentlest bar in the range, and many people with reactive skin prefer it on the face too.
Does it leave skin feeling tight?
No. The tallow, coconut oil and goat milk replace what a conventional soap would strip, so skin is left feeling calm and comfortable rather than squeaky.
